In science, students compile all taught scientific concepts in an Interactive Science Notebook. It is referred to as an "ISN!" Whereas, the right side is used for input (recording facts), while the left side through various possible connections will demonstrate students' understanding (output), of the information on the right side. Together the two pages are designed to help students comprehend, learn, retain, and organize new information! A 3-Subject spiral composition should be used as an ISN. Students are allowed to store their ISNs on a shelf in the classroom but encouraged to take them home at any time, especially to prepare for assessments.
